Jakarta Fair 2012, The Biggest Expo in South East Asia

Jakarta Fair 2012, the biggest expo in South East Asia was officially opened by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at Jakarta International Expo Arena Kemayoran Jakarta on 14th June 2012.

According to Jakarta International Expo Managing Director Siti Hartati Murdaya the total number of participant for this year expo  is 2650. Jakarta Fair 2012 is 45th since it’s first started in 1967 as the main event to mark the anniversary of Jakarta city.

This year expo will take place from 14th June to 15th July 2012 making it as  the longest expo in Indonesia and perhaps in the world too.

Governor Fiuzi Bowo optimistic that Jakarta International Expo will reach it’s target Rp. 4 trillion (US$ 445 million) transaction during Jakarta Fair 2012. Jakarta Fair 2012 will exhibit a wide range products such as electronics, automotive, furniture, household, textile, garment, cosmetic, food and beverage and may more.

According to Murdaya, aside from the exhibition of products, this expo will also featuring music performance every night. At least 260 artists from various music genres will be performing during Jakarta Fair 2012.

Murdaya expects this year Jakarta Fair will reach a new record of attendance of 4,5 million people.
