Types of visit visas are visas granted to foreigners who will travel to the territory of Indonesia in the context of visiting government duties, education, social culture, tourism, pre-investment, business, family, journalism, or stopping to continue their journey to other countries.

Apart from the reasons already explained, a visit visa can also be granted to citizens of certain countries which are stipulated under the regulations of the Minister of Law and Human Rights upon arrival at the immigration checkpoint by the immigration official.

This visit visa is divided into 3 types, namely:
1. A one-time visit visa, 
2. A multiple-trip visit visa, and 
3. A visit visa on arrival.
