Event

Like many Muslim countries, Indonesia holds Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) or Al Quran Reading competion as a national event. It has been one of the biggest competion held in the nation started from the lowest level of the country administration (Kelurahan) all the way to national level.

This competition was started for the first time in Makassar in 1968. It was national annual event then until 1977. From 1979 this event was held biennially.

This year, Indonesia will hold 25th MTQ in Batam Riau Island Province from 5-14 June 2014 involving 1.292 participants from 34 provinces competing in 7 branches. Continue reading Batam To Host Indonesian 25th MTQ And 2014 Creative Product Expo

Batam Bintan Karimun Free Trade Zone Council in cooperation with Indonesian Embassy in Seoul conduct an Investment Forum in Seoul South Korea on 22nd November 2014. The forum was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul and was attended by Indonesian Vice Ambassador Mr. Iwanshah Wibisono and members of The Federation of Korean Industries, who gave his speech before officially opened the forum. The 2013 Jakarta Fair, the oldest and biggest expo in Indonesia, will be opened on 6th June 2013 and last until 7th July 2013. After conducting a thorough evaluation of the organization of Lake Toba Fiesta (Pesta Danau Toba) in the past, the Organizing Committee has decided the schedule of this year event to 8-14 September 2013.
