There are two categories in granting this type of limited stay visa to foreigners:

a. as clergy, experts, workers, researchers, students, investors, second homes, and their families, as well as foreigners who are legally married to Indonesian citizens (“WNI”), who will travel to the territory of Indonesia to reside within a period of time. limited; or

b. in the context of joining forces to work on ships, floating equipment, or installations operating in the territorial waters of the archipelago, the territorial sea, the continental shelf, and/or the Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone.

What is meant by a limited stay visa “second home” in category a is a visa granted to foreigners and their families to stay in Indonesia for 5 years/10 years after fulfilling certain requirements. Limited stay visas can be granted for a maximum period of 2 years, 1 year, 6 months, 90 days, or 30 days.
