President Yudhoyono Asks Indonesia to Support Komodo as New 7 World Wonder

The president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has asked all Indonesians to support Komodo Island, one of the 28 Official Finalists in the New7Wonders of Nature.

The president made the appeal when he was officially inaugurating the new Lombok International Airport. According to The Jakarta Post, he asked the dignitaries present, and Indonesians in general, to vote for Komodo Island via SMS. PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO VISITS BINTAN RESORT

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the first lady Mrs. Yudhoyono is due for a 3 day working visit to Bintan Island starting 25 February 2011. Among others, his agenda will include the naming ceremony of Malaysia’s Landmarks Berhad Tourism Project Location at Bintan Beach International Resorts on Saturday 26 February 2011. Landmarks Berhad is a Malaysian company plans to build various resorts facilities which include marina, condotels, anti ageing clinic, board walk, shopping centers and many others.

The President is scheduled to spend the weekend at the resort and leave for Jakarta on Sunday 27 February 2011 noon.

We warmly welcome President Yudhoyono and the first lady visit to Bintan Island.

INDONESIA AND TURKEY AGREE ON VISIT VISA FREE

Indonesian and Turkey government agreed to exempt visit visa for two nationals visit their countries. This agreement aimed at promoting tourists visit in both countries. Indonesian leading daily newspaper KOMPAS reported that this agreement announced during joint press conference by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his host Turkeys President Abdullah Gull in Ankara, Turkey  after the two leaders met at Turkeys presidential Palace in Ankara, Tuesday, 29 June 2010. The Indonesian President Yudhoyono were on a state visit to Turkey from 28 June to 1st July.
