Batam Bintan Karimun Free Trade Zone Council in cooperation with Indonesian Embassy in Seoul conduct an Investment Forum in Seoul South Korea on 22nd November 2014. The forum was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul and was attended by Indonesian Vice Ambassador Mr. Iwanshah Wibisono and members of The Federation of Korean Industries, who gave his speech before officially opened the forum.

This forum aimed at promoting investment opportunities in Batam Bintan and Karimun islands Indonesia. Based on Indonesian Law No. 36, 2000 and government regulations no. 46, 47 and 48 issued in 2007 companies investing and operating in those area appointed as free trade zone will enjoy the following facilities:
- No import and export duties;
Elman Pakpahan, Head of Investment License Department of BBK FTZ council. - No value added tax;
- No tax on sale of luxury goods;
- No customs duties;
- Simpler immigration procedures;
- One Stop Service Office for licenses procedures.


Among BBK FTZ delegates are: Elman Krisos, Head of Investment Licences of the council; Den Yealta, Head of Bintan FTZ Tanjungpinang Area; Zamzami A. Karim, Rusli Silin both are staff of Bintan FTZ Tanjungpinang Area; Mardhiah and Dwi Anggraeni, both are staff of Bintan FTZ Bintan Area; Yan Indra and Raja Ubaidillah, both are staff of Karimun FTZ. Anugerah Indonesia Chairman Petrus Sitohang was also present in the forum.
