The forum was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul and was attended by Indonesian Vice Ambassador Mr. Iwanshah Wibisono and members of The Federation of Korean Industries, who gave his speech before officially opened the forum.

This forum aimed at promoting investment opportunities in Batam Bintan and Karimun islands Indonesia. Based on Indonesian Law No. 36, 2000 and government regulations no. 46, 47 and 48 issued in 2007 companies investing and operating in those area appointed as free trade zone will enjoy the following facilities:

  1. No import and export duties;

  3. No tax on sale of luxury goods;
  4. No customs duties;
  5. Simpler immigration procedures;
