Garuda Indonesia New Domestic Route to Tanjungpinang

Garuda Indonesia will commence it’s new route Jakarta Tanjungpinang 3rd August 2013. Garuda will fly Jakarta Tanjungpinang and return one flight every day.

The state owned airline will increase the number of flight to the Riau Archipelago province capital airport Raja Haji Fisabililah (TNJ). Presently, the regular commercial flight to  Tanjungpinang (TNJ) served by SRIWIJAYA AIR, LION AIR and SKY AIR.

During the province tourism road show to Bali aimed at developing cooperation between Bali and Riau Archipelago province in Tourism, led by Governor Muhammad Sani last month,  Anugerah Indonesia T&T Chairman Petrus Sitohang urged Garuda Indonesia to open new domestic route from Batam to Denpasar Bali. According to Sitohang many foreign tourists from Batam and Bintan actually interested to continue their Indonesia tour to Bali but hindered by the unavailability of direct trip to Bali from Batam or Tanjungpinang. Foreign tourist intending to continue their trip to Batam or Bintan is also face the same situation making it harder for both sides to increase tourist arrival from the other sides despite the huge potential in the 2 areas.
