The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia participate in the 15th Busan International Travel Fair organized by Busan Metropolitan City. The exhibition takes place at Busan Exhibition and Convention Center Hall 3 from 7 – 10 September 2012. This event is supported by Busan Tourism Association and KOFTA.

The Ministry bring along Tourism Promotional Team from the Riau Archipelago Province which consist representative from travel agents: INKO Batam T&T and Anugerah Indonesia T&T, Harris Hotel Batam and Ria Bintan Golf Club. The tourism industry stakeholder from Batam and Bintan actively promoting tourist destinations and attractions to the visitors which received enthusiasm and interests.
Mr Jordi Paliama, Deputy Director of Indonesia Tourism Promotion for Asia Region lead the Indonesian Promotion team in the event. Aside from promoting tourists destinations in Indonesia especially around Batam, Bintan and other popular tourists destination in Indonesia like Bali, Lombok, Jogjakarta, Bandung and Danau Toba, the Indonesian promotional team also perform traditional dances from Indonesia ie. Saman Dance, Topeng Betawi and Poco-poco dance.
The Poco-poco dance performance right in front of Indonesian booths, managed to draw numerous guests who enjoy it very much. In fact during the performance some of them join the dancers to participate despite having difficulty in following the sequence of the steps and the movement of the dancers.
Busan is the second largest city in Seoul with a population of around 4,5 million and home to APEC Summit in 2005. Busan is the sister city of Indonesian second largest city of Surabaya.
